Maria Melo is a woman of courage and dedication, born in Riachão das Neves (BA). She discovered she had Chagas disease during a blood donation test, but that did not stop her from moving forward. As a Community Health Agent (ACS), Maria has become a true care professional, serving more than 300 families in the region through the CUIDA Chagas project. She proves that, even in the face of adversity, it is possible to transform lives through love and dedication to others.
