In celebration of the 2023 World Chagas Disease Day, the CUIDA Chagas project, together with the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), produced this video, highlighting the importance of primary health care in the prevention, detection and control of Chagas disease. Internationally, primary health is recognized as the most qualified level of care to attend the majority of people affected by the disease.

This video was recorded in four Latin American countries (Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia and Paraguay), and recognizes the diversity of contexts and cultures, as well as the importance of the people who work in primary health care. This World Chagas Disease Day, our message is the following: It’s time to integrate Chagas disease into primary care into primary health care!
