Dentre os cinco estados em que CUIDA Chagas está sendo desenvolvido no Brasil, inclui-se Minas Gerais tendo o município de Janaúba como seu cenário para a pesquisa de implementação. No âmbito da comemoração do 14 de abril, o projeto CUIDA Chagas organizou uma campanha comunicacional cujo foco foi a necessidade do fortalecimento dos sistemas de notificação e vigilância para a doença de Chagas.
